Behind the name A Pajarita, there is a brain, a pair of hands, a heart and a soul. The sum of it all is me, Alexandra.
WHO AM I?
I was born on April 25, 1981, in Vila do Conde. When i was a child, i didn´t play much, so, drawing was my escape, where all dreams were possible.
I graduated in Fine Arts, and then i deepened my knowledge with a “Master in Graphic Work” at Fundación C.I.E.C. and the Master in Artistic Production at the U.P. Valence.
I received a scholarship and some awards in
Portugal and Spain and, as a guest artist, I represented Portugal in several Biennials: Spain, Serbia, China and Germany.
My work is represented in public and private collections, and has been regularly exhibited across Portugal, Spain, Austria, Germany, China, Lithuania, Poland, Italy, Serbia, United States of America and Guatemala.
In 2014 I founded PAJARITA, where I put all my knowledge into practice by creating an exclusive stationery for each event and each couple.
I always dreamed with my feet on the ground, I was never afraid to fight for what I believe and perhaps, that is why I relate myself with the words of Sebastião da Gama:
“For the dream we go
moved and silent.
Are we there?
Whether there is fruit or not,
We’re going for the dream.”
This is who I was yesterday, this is how I am today and this is how I want to be tomorrow.
